This blog is dedicated to the Mower Family! Since we're spread out over the U.S., this is a way for us to share our experiences with one another through pictures and words.
Fun times at Wildwood! We wish the whole family could have been here all at once, but we'll have to try and edit the picture so Ben and Celeste can be in it too... (Don't worry Celeste, we'll make sure you are the same size as the rest of us... :P )
These pictures pretty much speak for themselves... YEAH!
May 21, 2009: Lori, Emily, Lucrecia, Saren and I enjoyed taking the Wahkeena falls trail up to Fairy Falls. The sun spilled down over the falls and provided a cool glowing inspiration to us all. The camera settings were too bright to show the many nearly transparent fairies.
I think we would all agree that our family could not survive without list making. It all started when Mom would buy those memo pad notebooks and keep her lists in them. On Saturday, Mom and I were discussing what we needed to do and we both got out our respective lists. Then I realized that Mom had several lists spread out across the bed, as well as a calculator, the home phone, her cell phone and other things you can identify for yourself. I took a picture whilst she was unawares. I love that in the top corner you can even see Mom adding something to her current list. I think this picture is amazing.
Saren and I (Emily) wanted to share with the rest of the family some of the pictures from our picturesque day at the beach for my birthday. So, here you go!
It is actually a reality: I am going to Chile in August to go to school!!!! I just wanted to post a few of these pictures. I typed in "viña del mar" into a google image search and here are the first few that popped up :)
My roommate Tanisha told us about a really fun game and pastime. Someone takes a picture and the photographer gives the photographees a situation. Here are three hilarious examples. The first is Tanisha and me facing off as sumo wrestlers. The second Kyle (FHE bro) and me defending ourselves. And lastly and hilariously, third is Kyle proposing to me. I think it looks pretty authentic!
I can no longer say that I haven't pumped my own gas. My FHE family was driving to FHE in Idaho Falls (we were going to the ward clerks house) and we stopped to get gas. I told them I had never pumped gas before and all 4 of them MADE me get out of the car and do it. They helped me since I had NO idea how to do it. I was happy that the moment was captured in a picture. It was definitely a moment to remember.
This Monday is President's Day and therefore, I do not have class!!! Shilo and I are going to visit our sisters in Provo. I can't wait to see Celeste and Ben. (I'm also excited for them to meet Shilo!) I just thought that I'd post this picture because I liked it :) We took this picture at the rodeo last week which was a BLAST! Rodeos are quite fun.
I woke up this morning at 7am. As soon as I got up, I heard my roommate in the other room say, "Yeah it's 19 degrees below zero right now!" AHHH! So my nose hairs definitely froze this morning while walking to class. Not the most pleasant thing by the way. But the most astonishing thing to me was the inside of our living room window. Isn't this INSANE?!?!?
Last night, Craigo's was having a sale for the dinner buffet. Me and the roomies plus 2 (Tanisha's bro Liam and FHE bro Kyle, the one sitting next to me) stuffed our FACES! It was insane. Our friend Kurt was working at Craigo's and gave us 2 cookie monsters on the house. He's the best! So this was us stuffing our faces. And by the way, this weekend was pretty much the best ever. Sledding, food, more sledding, meeting new people and Pride and Prejudice. What else could I ask for?!
